London Marathon Runners Raise £150,000 | Kidney Research UK – Renal.PlatoHealth.ai

What our runners had to say

One of our runners, Shay, spoke to us after finishing and said: “Today has been incredible, a real range of emotions – nerves and excitement. I’m happy to have completed the marathon and to have raised money for Kidney Research UK, which was the main thing. My mum, Jackie, was affected by kidney problems for her whole life and sadly passed away last year. I did this in memory of her, and I’ll keep raising money until my legs won’t let me anymore!”

Lucy, who also ran the marathon, said: “I really enjoyed it, and the atmosphere was amazing. Kidney Research UK do so much fantastic work for people living with kidney disease, so it’s brilliant to raise money to support them.”

After finishing the marathon, Rhianna said: “It was very tough, but I loved every second. I chose to run for Kidney Research UK because I lost one of my kidneys when I was six years old, and Kidney Research UK have been an amazing source of support for me and my family. I wanted to repay everything they’ve done for us.”
